Vincent’s father left Paul’s mother for Vincent’s mother when Paul was young, and Paul resents Vincent because of it. Vincent has a half-brother, Paul, from her father’s first marriage. She grows up in Caiette, a town on a remote tip of Vancouver Island. Vincent is one of The Glass Hotel’s main characters.
